GOLDMAN’S TEXAS RETREAT
At Tin Roof Kitchen and Home, we’ve had the pleasure of working with some incredible folks over the years, and Daniel Goldman is no exception. We first crossed paths with Daniel at the Nutcracker Market in Houston, and ever since, he’s been a loyal customer and a great friend to the Tin Roof team. When he approached us to fill his Fayetteville, Texas, home with custom, handcrafted pieces, we knew it was going to be a project we could really sink our teeth into. His vision? A peaceful country retreat, crafted from the timeless beauty of Texas pecan wood.
PECAN EVERYWHERE YOU LOOK
Daniel’s home is a living, breathing showcase of what we at Tin Roof can do with Texas pecan wood. Here's a peek at some of the custom pieces we created just for him:
DINING ROOM TABLE:
The centerpiece of the home, an 8' X 30" X 4" pecan dining table with legs made from logs sliced in half, showcasing the bark side for a rustic touch. To add a pop of color, we inlaid turquoise and rocks into the tabletop and finished it with a lacquer coat for a stunning and durable finish.
CHAIRS:
Six pecan regular X-back chairs and two pecan X-back armchairs were crafted to match the dining table, ensuring the rustic charm carried through the entire dining area.
PECAN HUTCH/BOOKCASE:
A beautiful combination of storage and display, with cabinet doors on the bottom and shelves above.
MUSIC DESK:
For Dan’s love of music, we built him a 6' long X 30" pecan music desk with a keynote pullout drawer across the front for easy access. A pecan riser was added to elevate the desk’s functionality and charm.
NIGHTSTANDS:
Two pecan nightstands with slab tops, wood legs, and a single drawer on the upper section for added convenience.
ISLAND TOP:
A striking pecan slab with turquoise inlay and a lacquer finish, bringing color and character to the kitchen.
SMALL SIDE TABLES:
Next to the music desk and in various spots, these 15" X 24" tables offered both practicality and charm, complete with shelf storage.
PECAN CHANDELIER:
We hand-built a stunning custom pecan chandelier hanging over the dining room table, truly illuminating the space with Texas craftsmanship.
PECAN BOX:
An 18" decorative pecan box with two sides open—just another unique touch in Daniel’s home.
CRAFTED WITH TEXAS CHARM
This project isn’t just about the gorgeous pecan wood (though it’s hard not to admire). It’s about the artistry and precision behind each piece, crafted from wood sourced directly from our very own sawmill located in Lane City, Texas. From the striking turquoise accents to the live edges, every detail is crafted with love by our team at Tin Roof Kitchen and Home. Together, these elements have turned Daniel’s home into a perfect example of Texas country charm.
A PARTNERSHIP OVER THE YEARS
Since that first project, Daniel has continued to add custom pieces to his home, and we’ve been with him every step of the way. As Daniel himself said, “The work Tin Roof Kitchen and Home did is amazing—quality products, quality people. They hand-built all of my furniture, and I’d give them an A+.”
It’s been a true partnership, with Kurt Pratka, the owner of Tin Roof, and the entire team enjoying every moment of bringing Daniel’s vision to life. We’re excited to see what new ideas and projects will come down the road.
